Pre-Sales Engineer

Your Mission

The Pre-Sales Engineer works closely with the sales team to provide technical support and expertise during the sales process. He/She helps potential customers understand how a product or solution can meet their needs by demonstrating its features and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand Customer Requirements: Analyze customer needs and business objectives to propose suitable solutions.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase how the product meets customer requirements.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance during the sales process, including answering technical questions and addressing concerns.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with the different teams (sales team, PRODUCTION team and R&D team) to design and present solutions that align with customer needs.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare technical proposals and quotations, including responding to RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information).
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Training and Support: Offer technical training to clients and sales teams, and provide after-sales support as needed.
  • Feedback Loop: Work with product management and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and suggest product improvements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a pre-sales or technical sales role, with a strong understanding in Electrical Engineering and Automation.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant software and hardware, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
  • Language skills:
    • French: required
    • English: required
    • Dutch: Would be a strong advantage
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Commercial Acumen: Understanding of market trends and the competitive landscape.
